·   Home was designed and built for 175mph sustained wind load,   new construction code is 150mph.  This almost doubles the cost of windows, doors, truss and roof system.

·   Seer 19 AC Units (Seasonal Energy Efficient Rating, highest and most efficient available in 2007).  Digital programmable thermostats. 

·    All impact windows and doors.  No shutters.  PPG Glass Blocks series 90, double the weight of regular blocks, new product and installation system in 2005, mounted in silicon system so they “flex” under high wind conditions.  All glass is tinted green.

·   All bedrooms have exterior doors leading to balcony or patio.

·   Pool needs no Chlorine.  System re-generates chlorine from the salt in the water; the sun turns it back into salt, making a continuous cycle.  Benefits are soft water and no bleaching of hair and clothing and not having to continually buy chlorine.  Heater is reverse cycle; it also acts as a “chiller”.  During summer if water temp is too hot, you can actually chill the spa or pool.

·   Deep water canal on ocean side.  For sailboats with masts, fishing boats with tuna towers and outriggers, this is an ideal location.

·   2500 Gallon Cistern fed by rainwater collection system from roof which feeds drip irrigation systems on automatic circuits.
